A methodological study of policy and practice in neonatal and paediatric intensive care
Thank you for your interest in the BRACELET Study
News - 3 July 2014
The main results of The BRACELET Study have been published by NIHR HTA as a research monograph. The results are freely available in full and in summary form.
We are grateful to the parents, clinicians and trial teams who made the research possible through their participation in the interviews for the study, and to the individuals and organisations who gave their support to the recruitment and implementation processes for the research. The BRACELET Study is the first to consider how death and bereavement in the context of trials involving babies and children is experienced and managed and would not have been possible without these input of these many people.
The quantitative, qualitative and methodological findings of this substantial study have implications beyond the neonatal and paediatric fields and should provide a firm foundation for work in other areas where mortality in trials might be considered.

This website has been designed for the bereaved parents, doctors and trial team members who are interested in taking part in the BRACELET Study. There is also a section for GPs and their colleagues who have been asked to help with some practical aspects of the study.
On these pages you will find information about the research, including how to take part, and there are several places where you can give your views. We hope that you find it interesting and useful.
